Becky Stifter is a third-year law student at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. Becky has lived in the midwest, and on the east and west coasts, but calls Colorado home. In 2015, Becky graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Media Studies.
Becky is the President and Co-Founder of the Venture Law Society, Editor-in-Chief of Race to the Bottom, and inaugural QF Barton Institute Social Enterprise Fellow, a Chancellor's Global Innovation Fellow, and was awarded first place at the 2018 national LawMeets transactional competition.
Becky volunteers at The Commons on Champa legal clinic, working with early-stage entrepreneurs; and, as a program volunteer for Girls Inc. of Metro Denver.
Outside of law school, Becky enjoys spending time with her rescue dogs and partner, running marathons, snowboarding, teaching fitness, and practicing yoga.

In Fries v. Northern Oil and Gas, Inc., No. 16-cv-06543-ER, 2018 BL 9786 (S.D.N.Y. Jan. 10, 2018), the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York granted a motion to dismiss the Consolidated Amended Complaint (“CAC”) of Matthew Atkinson (“Plaintiff”) against Northern Oil and Gas, Inc. (“Northern Oil”) and Northern Oil executives, Michael L. Reger (“Reger”) and Thomas W. Stoelk (“Stoelk”), (collectively “Defendants”), alleging violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (“Exchange Act”) for violations of Section 10(b) and 20(a). The court held the Plaintiffs failed to state a claim.
