Jon is a third-year law student at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. Prior to transferring to Denver, Jon attended Northern Kentucky University, Chase College of Law for his first year of law school. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he lived his whole life before moving to Columbus, Ohio to attend The Ohio State University. There, Jon received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, specializing in Operations Management and also received a minor in Public Health.
For the last two years Jon has worked in a firm working mainly on medial malpractice matters. He is interested in healthcare but wants to one day practice corporate and/or transactional law. He is currently pursuing a Corporate and Commercial Law certificate.
Outside of Law School, Jon loves to be outdoors hiking and also keeping up with his favorite sports teams, including Ohio State football.
In Starbucks Corp., 2018 BL 2480 (January 4, 2018), Starbucks Corp. (“Starbucks” or “Company”) asked the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) to permit the omission of a proposal submitted by Thomas Strobhar (“Proponent”) requesting the board issue a report disclosing Starbucks’ standards and process for making charitable contributions. The SEC issued the requested no action letter allowing for the exclusion of the proposal under Rule 14a-8(i)(7).
